I was immediately aware of a simple ‘newness’, a clean sense of design, and plenty of comfort when I stepped into this home located just steps from the beach in the quaint, tranquil, off-the-beaten-path township of Kekaha .
The cottage is aptly named; it’s a great place to view the gorgeous sunsets of Kauai’s west side.
At 6’’8” I could not help but be excited with the cottage’s super comfortable California King bed (with high thread count linens nonetheless!). The showerhead was mounted so I didn’t have to do the limbo in order to wash my hair and the living room couch invited this long body to recline with plenty of room to spare to enjoy the surround sound stereo system or just succumb to the sounds of the ocean to surrender to an afternoon nap.

"We love the Kekaha Sunset Cottage! It's super clean, everything feels new and its beautifully furnished and fully equipped with all the conveniences and amenities we need. The beds and high thread-count linens are ultra comfortable too! We enjoyed playing cards on the covered outdoor gazebo and looked forward to walking down to the beach each night for the amazing sunsets. It's a super place to enjoy a "laid back" vacation away from the crowds and traffic."
The 3 bedroom house can accommodate 2 couples easily or a small family and at $140 a night, is one of the best deals on the island.
