What a spectacular day we just had with this tour group. The guides (A'a and Justin) were friendly, charming and very funny while sharing the stories and beauty of the Na Pali coast with us. My daughters (ages 10 and 13), husband and I all LOVED flying and bouncing over the waves and seeing the incredible coast up close and personal. We went into multiple caves, saw oodles of classic Hawaiian waterfalls and even got showered by one! I enthusiastically recommend these guys. We don't know what else Kauai has in store for us, but today sets the bar incredibly high!! Thank you Na Pali Explorers!!
Went out on December 31, 2017 with Captain Dennis and crew. They were all excellent. Each of the deck hands were very helpful in getting my younger daughter situated as well as very knowledgeable on the surrounding area, history and wildlife. Captain Dennis is a character, very friendly and clearly knows the area well - adding a vast knowledge of the waters and weather around Kauai. He had found out that the morning on the Na Pali coast was looking good, and made it a priority to get out as quickly and safely as possible so we could beat any weather we might encounter. We left early, had a fast and smooth ride on the 45' boat. Stopped at a couple of sea caves along the way and then went on to the the remainder of the Na Pali coast. From what I could see, we beat everyone out there and probably good we did. Kauai can cloud up in an instant. Captain Dennis had been checking out waters along the way for snorkeling and decided to go with one that was closer to the small boat harbor because the water was much clearer -- a good safe move that allowed us to actually see the fish and coral while we snorkeled and not have to worry about bigger 'critters' lurking in the murky water. I'll go out with these guys again - they were fun and clearly enjoyed their jobs. I didn't expect much for lunch but they brought some BIG turkey subs that were cut up [and really good], chips, drinks and Oreos. A+ tour that I'll do again next time I'm on the island!
We took the 7:30 trip and saw dolphins and sea turtles. The waters were also a lot calmer than the afternoon. It is well worth the money.
We are very glad we decided to do this first on our Kauai vacation. It is a great way to see a lot of the island and help plan the rest of your visit. Our tour guide, Kevin, was great. Justin, the deckhand, was also awesome. You get to learn a lot about the island from those two.
Great crew! really very nice people we hopped on the larger zodiac tour and we were one of the 3 families on the boat plenty of space and a clean safe vessel unfortunately we came when winds swells were out of control “mid October” and were unable to venture to far up the coastline because the waves were out of control with upwards of 11 foot swells so we graded back to where winds and water were mellow and had a nice provided turkey sandwich lunch with some snorkeling and swimming all and all I rate them with 5 stars definitely would do it again with hope to see more of the coastline next time and to just hang out with the chill local guides captain Kevin and Justin that treat you like true ohana thanks guys mahalo!
Out on a four hour tour with Justin and Kevin for a morning in December and this team was great! Dennis, the owner, communicated with us by phone beforehand about special arrangements and concerns and updates on weather accommodations. Then the morning of the tour we met up with our guides for the day and they were friendly, professional, and informative throughout the experience. Couldn't recommend them more! Great snorkeling spots and we managed to see beautiful scenery, dolphins, turtles, and even a whale. These guys have sharp eyes and made the trip fun. They were conscientious about our safety and comfort, yet kept the atmosphere relaxed and always happy to answer questions. The boat was great!
